This competition is open to all Australian composers who identify as women. Compositions must be original, unperformed and unpublished, and must be written according to the criteria listed inside. Each competitor may enter as many compositions as they wish. There is no cost to enter.

The 46th annual Festival of New American Music seeks recently-composed works (max. 10 minutes) for chamber ensemble, wind ensemble, or chorus, from composers residing in the US, Canada, or Mexico, or studying in the US on a student visa. New this year, composers may be any age. Four winning compositions will be performed at Sacramento State University, October 29-November 3, 2023.
